I can't tell you how furious I was last night when Ottawa's Colin Greening scored with 24 seconds left in the third period to beat the Leafs 3-2. The Leafs couldn't even get a single point against a team whose best players i.e. Jason Spezza and Erik Karlsson are sidelined due to injuries. What a let down.
Meanwhile, I did catch some afternoon hockey yesterday. Washington beat New Jersey 5-1 and Los Angeles defeated Colorado 4-1.
Jack Johnson of the Columbus Blue Jackets has been placed on the injured reserve (IR) after sustaining an upper-body injury last night. The team has called up Ryan Johansen from the AHL.
Despite my Leafs losing, I can take a bit of comfort in the fact that my Blue Jays won their first Spring Training game yesterday, hammering the 2012 American League East Champions, the Detroit Tigers 10-3. Well done guys!
