The playoffs will play out as follows: San Antonio will LOSE tomorrow, as they will be fatigued both physically and mentally from the draining Phoenix series, one which will go down as one of the best series ever from this fan's standpoint. But the Spurs will end up winning this series against the Jazz in 6 games. If you hoopsters thought the Phoenix series was rough, you haven't seen anything yet. San Antonio/Utah will be Carlito's Way/Scarface by the time it's over. Pushing, shoving, fouling, hacking, assault, battery, it will all be on display. Games will be in the 80's at best. And it will be ugly, grind it out hoops on display. The difference ? The same thing it always is, Tim Duncan. Like night follows day, he'll get his 20/12, be disruptive, and play smart. But I have total respect for Utah, especially BOOOOZZZER and Williams at point.
In the East, it's Detroit in 6. Why ? They are the only Eastern team that puts you in the meat grinder. Haven't teams figured this out yet ? Offense is pretty, but defense wins rings. Lebron is going to be an alltimer, but like Houston found with T-Mac and Yao, you need SOME supporting cast, and Lebron doesn't have it. Detroit is as deep as any team in the league, and they play D.
Finals: San Antonio/Detroit. It will go 7, and the Spurs will walk away with yet another title. And Detroit will not claim one Spur as dirty. Neither will Utah. They both strap 'em up and play hard, and understand that's what the Spurs do too. And they all respect each other for it. Defense wins championships.
