The Raiders are on the brink of turning around this once great franchise. The GM and HC finally has accept to let Terrelle Pryor compete openly for the starting QB position and are wising up to drafting an OL or DL, or even trading the 3rd pick for 2 picksin the later rounds.

If there is any QB that can come close to matching the performance of Collin Kaepernick it's Pryor. They are both listed at 6' 4", 230 + and have tremendous football speed [ Pryor is just a tad bit faster ]. Pryor has a strong arm and played in a tougher College conference, the Big 10. He has played on the big stage many times and starting for the Raiders should not be too much for him to handle.

Sure there will be some setbacks with a first time starter, but Pryor's athleticism will hide the flaws on the Raiders OL anduse thier draft picks on building their defense. The Raiders have to start on that side of the ball, specially when you are playing Peyton Manning 2x in a season and now potentially an upgraded offense with the Chiefs and Alex Smith.

Raiders starting Pryor is a good start. If anything Pryor will entertain the Fans more than Carson Palmer would. Pryor buys time for the Raiders to fix the OL and concentrate on the defense. Ultimately it's Pryor Time....

I agree with Stormy. The Raiders have to start Palmer- too much money invested not to. But I don't doubt that he'd be pulled if he has a slow start. Hopefully Palmer restructures to make that move a little less painful than $13 million should it happen...

In a couple of weeks we'll find out who will remain on the roster and we'll also get to see what happens with the first round pick. Do they try and trade for more picks? If not, who does McKenzie consider "the best player available"? Like last year, it's still weird knowing the first pick won't be the "fastest player available".

QUOTE(#1):

But he has to put more zip on his throws.

I remember an interview with Pryor after the game he started at the end of the season. He said he figured out something he was doing with his hands that was causing his passes to float. He said if he could correct that in the off season it would really help his accuracy. We shall see.

I am surprised to hear Pryor is faster than Kaepernick.
