In two nights, my Maple Leafs got three points. After beating Tampa Bay 4-2 two nights ago, the Leafs lost 5-4 to Buffalo last night in a six-round shoot out. There was a strange incident in last night's New Jersey/Carolina game. On a delayed penalty, while clearing the zone, Hurricane's Jordan Staal scored on his own net, giving the Devils a 1-0 lead. Devil's goalie, Martin Brodeur was credited with the goal. Speaking of the Devils, they have acquired Matt D'Agostini and a conditional seventh round draft pick for 2015 from St. Louis for a conditional fifth round pick in the same draft. Carolina's goalie, Dan Ellis will miss seven to ten days with a injured knee. Edmonton has signed Travis Enwanyk to a entry-level contract. Veteran, Alex Kovalev announced his retirement today. He has played 1,316 NHL games, scored 430 goals, and racked up 599 assists in his career.. Now to baseball San Diego's Casey Kelly will undergo Tommy John surgery. No word on how long he will be out. Arizona's Adam Eaton Will be out six to eight weeks with a left elbow sprain. Finally,Bill Haas leads the Arnold Palmer Invitational by one stroke (-9) after two rounds.
