The NHL trade deadline has just passed. There was one trade that surprised me and probably was the biggest trade of the day. Tampa Bay traded their young phenom, Cory Conacher and a fourth-round pick to Ottawa for goalie Ben Bishop. San Jose has traded Ryane Clowe to the New York Rangers for a second-round pick, a third-round pick for 2013, and a conditional second-round pick for 2014. The Rangers traded Marian Graborik to Columbus for Derek Dorsett, John Moore, and Derek Brassard. Columbus traded goalie, Steve Mason to Philadelphia for a draft pick. Columbus has also acquired Blake Comeau from Calgary for a fifth-round pick (2013). Buffalo has traded Jason Pomiville to Minnesota for Matt Hackett and Johan Larsson. I watched a hockey game and two baseball match ups last night. Buffalo beat Pittsburgh 4-1. In baseball, my Blue Jays lost to Cleveland 4-1. In the late game San Franscisco shut-out the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-0.
