There was dead silence at Tropicana Field last night as Blue Jay's starting pitcher, J.A. Happ laid motionless on the ground after getting hit with a line drive by Tampa Bay's Desmond Jennings. He sustained a head contusion and laceration to his left ear. He has been released from the hospital. No word on how long he'll be out. Meanwhile, the Jays won the game 6-4. Arizona's J.J. Putz left last night's game due to stiffness in his right elbow. Man! That Ottawa/Montreal game was exiting last night. The Senators came back from a 2-0 deficit to beat the Canadiens in 3-2. Ottawa leads the series 3-1. Speaking of the Canadiens, their captain, Brian Gionta will be out for the rest of the year as he will undergo surgery on Friday to repair a torn left bicep muscle. Hendrik Lundqvist, Sergei Bobrovsky, and Antti Nemi were named this year's Vezina Trophy finalists (NHL's top goalie).
