NASCAR FANS WITHOUT A CLUE

Heaven forbid. What could possibly be going through the minds of a certain group of low-informed NASCAR fans to "vote-in" Danica Patrick to the All Star Race at Charlotte? They certainly were't looking to vote in the most competitive driver - she's simply a media ****. Just like Obama, of whom she ardors - neither can, or has, got the job done.

Patrick ran around the track at the back, like she does most of the time, showing nothing. Absolutely nothing. It was a waste. Nothing more. Every other driver in the voting would have shown better than Patrick. What she displayed was quite disgusting. Allow me to puke.

Setting my rant aside let me congratulate Jimmy Johnson, Chad Knaus, the #48 team, Jeff Gordon (owner) and Rick Hendrick for the butt-kicking they gave everyone else. There is a reason that JJ is a 5-time champion. He, and his team, have the stuff that others just dream of - especially Kyb, Hamlin and that 'back-flipper' guy Edwards (what a joke).

Oh, Wait. There was Indy Stuff

After a week of practice - my Lord, how much practice do they need after eight million miles - they finally got down to qualifying - which the "fast-9" thing I had trouble of getting a grip on. Just why is it they need an entire week to practice? Indy's just a 2.5 mile, mostly flat, oval. Get to it and race for crying out loud. I guess it's all part of the 'media' built greatest track and greatest race in the world. Which I'm not so sure it is. After-all, there is the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Monaco Grand Prix and the Daytona 500. Oh, OK, you want to win Indy. Good for you.

Ed Carpenter on pole. How long will that last in the race? What thrills me is AJ Almindinger out qualifying his super big-teammates. And, on top of that, all three ladies made the cut. To me, that's super. Let's see how it all plays out come Sunday.

Are you sure it was the fans? I smell Brian all over this.

Come on UBP, you know how transparent NASCAR is with everything. They are as transparent as coal (and no I don't mean those little expensive coal pieces either)! It's right there in the rulebook I found online, once you get past all the crayon colored pictures, coffee stains, and dollar signs it is very complete and concise....all 2 lines of it.

It's always Brian. Just like it's always Bush's fault when it comes to the Obama failures. Your "smell" must be much better than mine. Why would Brain want a media w h o r e that does nothing but show her incompetence in the All Star Race? Danica's showing in the event proved she did not belong there. I can't believe a true NASCAR fan would vote for Patrick - my money would go to the ignorant that heard about the voting. Honestly, why would any NASCAR fan vote-in a noncompetitive driver? Oh, maybe they just wanted to see her show her lack of stuff.

For one thing.. I AM a true Nascar fan.. but I will admit.. I did take the time to vote and I did vote for Danica.. after watching the race.. I wish now I didn't.. because if I knew she was going to hang in the back during the entire race segments.. I would have voted for Jeff Burton.. but there wasn't anybody in the 'scrub' drivers that was worthy of being in the race to begin with.. so who do you vote for when there is nobody worthy??.. I voted on the best looking driver.. if you didn't bother to vote.. then don't say I'm not a 'true fan' when you didn't take the time to cast your vote..
Maybe next year the All-Star race should be just past winners and don't have a fan vote or even those who have to race their way in by winning the Shoot-out

I did vote. But not for Patrick. Why would I vote for a non-competitive dud? Her showing was so embarrassing was was embarrassing. How proud her GoDaddy sponsor must be of the effort, or lack of, she displayed. Your comment regarding the "scrub" drivers not being worthy is quite disgusting and would seem to show your lack of knowledge of NASCAR, or any race drivers. There we go - vote for the best looking driver - how ignorant can you get? Get your mind out of your crotch. It's like voting for Obama because he was black - no experience, poor performance and now a proven total lack of leadership skills at even the basic level.

Voting for Danica puts you in a very special league of the uninformed. Please, think about it. Why would any true NASCAR fan vote for a media w-h-o-r-e?

May 20, 2013  08:54 PM ET

Allow me this one statement if you will: How many professional races, or even non professional, has Danica Patrick won in her starry-eyed career? Oh, OK, I get it, she's had only one win, ever. Crap, even Milka Duno has a better overall record than the silver-spooned Patrick. Duno's racing record makes Patrick look like she is little more than amateur. Please, that's not my fault, it's just reality.

May 20, 2013  08:55 PM ET

I'm not going to get in a pissing contest with you.. but all the other 'scrub' drivers in the shoot-out are just as non-competitive as Danica.. she's ahead of 8 other 'scrub' in points who were in the shoot-out.. Reason I didn't vote for Truex.. he should have been good enough to race his way into the All-star race.. won't ever vote for JPM for anything except most obnoxious driver.. the RCR drivers of Menard & Burton haven't shown me anything this year..
And I voted for Obama.. not because he was black.. but because I thought he was the lesser of 2 evils.. 8 years of GOP rule had this country going to hell.. and it hasn't changed much with the current administration.. but that's to be expected when you have 2 parties that its only purpose is to make the other party look bad and it doesn't help matters when the only concern of our elected officials are only concerning themselves with their re-election campaigns and not doing the job they were elected to do.. its not too much of a shock why this country is in the shape its in

Last 10 years.. fans have voted Dale jr most popular driver.. whats the difference??.. Fan vote is a popularity contest.. if Jr was in the shoot-out this year.. he would have won.. these 'scrub' drivers.. aren't popular with the fans

Did take a look at Gary Johnson.. he had some good ideas.. but I knew he didn't have a snowball's chance in hell because of the 2 party system in this country

It will take a grass roots effort to break the 2 party hold.

Too many people are set in their ways.. like Hubie.. he'd vote GOP no matter who was running.. even though he knew deep down the other candidate was better for the country.. each election I vote the incumbents out.. this country never will change unless the people start change their way of thinking too and vote these career politicians out of office
