We now know who will play in the Eastern Conference finals. Boston will face Pittsburgh in the Stanley Cup semi-finals as the Bruins defeated the New York Rangers yesterday 3-1, winning the series 4-1. Chicago has pushed their series against Detroit to a sixth game as the Black Hawks beat the Red Wings 4-1 last night. Now to baseball. My Blue Jays came up short yesterday as Toronto lost to the Orioles 6-5. Boston's Clay Buchholz will miss his next start due to irritation in his collarbone. Cleveland's Chris Perez left today's game against the Red Sox after feeling a pinch in his right shoulder. Chicago Cub's Kyuji Fujikawa will probably go on the D.L. again with a right forearm injury. St. Louis's John Gast was placed on the 15 day D.L. with a left shoulder strain. Boo Weekley won the Crowne Plaza Invitational by a stroke (-14).
