Dwight Howard's decision to sign with the Houston Rockets was clear to me even before his actual decision was announced. He was texting a particular player on the Rockets roster and was most likely wowed when his meeting with the Rockets involved ex-Rocket players like Yao Ming, Olajuwon, and Drexler.

Dwight Howard is basically a professional basketball player that doesn't act professionally when it comes to dealing with organizations and their management (Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers). He could have been one of the great centers that played for the Lakers like Chamberlain, Jabbar, and Shaq. But no, he had to show his immaturity again by leaving the Lakers for the Rockets. The Lakers don't deserve to be treated like this. A premier organization like the Lakers deserve players that are of professional grade and have sense of maturity to go with playing for the purple and gold.

Congratulation to the Rockets as long as you can deal with Howard's immaturity.

I'm not shocked but I am "surprised." Had Howard stayed (and gotten paid $$$), a healthy Lakers' club would've been top dog in the West.
