Topics for tonights show and my thoughts

Malkin:
Malkin leads the Penguins in points and goals.  He has stepped up his game a notch since moving back to center when Crosby was injured.  Not to take anything away from Crosby, but I think the Penguins MVP should go to Malkin if the season ended today. Sure, a case could be made for Crosby (was leading the team in points when he went down with an injury) and Ty Conklin (is playing unbelievable with Fleury being out).  I still think it has to go to Malkin because of "Most Valuable Player - to his team".  In my opinion, that has to be Malkin.  Fans and sports writers were writing off the Pens and now they are in sole possession of first place.
When Crosby comes back, here are the new lines I propose:
Malkin, Malone, Sykora
Crosby, Kennedy, Christensen
Staal, Armstrong, Laraque
Talbot, Ruutu, Taffe

Malkin should remain the first line center as that line is clicking the absence of Crosby.
Putting Crosby with good finishers in Kennedy and Christensen should allow Crosby to be the playmaker and make everyone around him better.
Our third line would be the best cycling unit on the ice, and there is still scoring potential.

Fleury:
Fleury is still a great goaltender, and those that think he should be dealt are nuts.  He is only 23 and already has a 40 win season.  When Fleury gets back, I propose a two goalie system.  If you lose a game, the other gets a start the next (minus back to back games - each goalie will play 1 and the one who plays better starts the next game).  You have to reward Conklin for his play in Fleury's absence, but at the same time, you need to get Fleury some action and make sure he is game tested come playoff time.  A two goalie system will be HUGE in a playoff run.

Beech:
I think this was a bad move on the Penguins part.  We have a Center in Wilkes-Barre who leads them in points, Tim Brent.  He has 38 points in 46 games, but more importantly he is only 23 years old.  Beech is only 27, but he was claimed and released by the Blue Jackets, Canucks, and Capitals - ALL SINCE January 10th!
If all these other teams didn't want him, why would he fit on the Penguins.  My guess is he will be released when the Pens get Crosby back.
