I think that most people are surprised that David Carr made it past day one of the off season cuts. With Dan Morgan and Mike Wahle receiving the ax, it did begin to give the Carolina Panthers some wiggle room to be more aggressive during the free agency period. What many people have failed to realize though, is that by cutting Carr now, it may end up hurting them more in the future rather than waiting until the June 1 cuts, or better yet, having another QB to throw going into training camp.
We should have a good show tonight with our podcast. You can listen to the show by going here. We will have a local well known message board poster, Michael Procton, as well as the breakdown of how cutting Dan Morgan and Mike Wahle will affect the Panthers in the long term. We'll also discuss the continuing decline of the NBA team formally known as the Charlotte Bobcats. John Watson will have his NASCAR Daytona 500 preview and I'm sure we'll be able to throw in a good cut throat/purse snatching report from the NHL. Join us at 9:00 cause.. the writers aren't back to work just yet and there's really not that much on tv yet!

At this point in the offseason, I don't really see the signifigance in only having 1 QB to throw. The Panthers did the right thing by cutting Carr since we knew he wasn't going to be in the mix for next season.
