The Senate Oversight Committee will meet with Roger Clemens and former trainer Brian McNamee tomorrow in their continued quest to destroy Roger Clemens. While schools lack funding, the U.S. tax system remains too complex for a college graduate to handle their own taxes and we continue to fund a war that many Americans do not support, our government officials have decided that destroying Roger Clemens is priority.
Look, I am not a big Roger clemens fan. Since watching him mouth the "f-word" at a ump in a playoff game late in his years with Boston, I have not had a ton of respect for the man. I collected his baseball cards as a kid, but do not own any special baseball memorabilia of the Rocket. But the whole goal of this Senate involvement in baseball was to help show kids the negative effects of steroids in baseball. It seems to me that this goal has more than been accomplished as steroid awareness in sports is at an all-time high. So why bring down the Rocket? I once wanted to see barry Bonds crash and burn, but after watching the waste of taxpayer money from the Senate Oversight Committee already, I am tired of this entire thing. This is no longer about the kids and I am starting to wonder if it ever was.
