The Mets took great leaps in avoiding another late season collapse by trading for Johan Santana. Finally, a dominate arm for a shaky rotation. This trade obviously gave them some more credibility, have a Cy-Young caliber pitcher. but Santana won't solve everything. Their main problem I see is relief pitching. The Mets have no standout reliver exept for Billy Wagner, a vetran who is nearing old age at 36. They have pop in the line-up with David Wright, Jose Reyes, Carlos Beltran and Carlos Delgado, but if they wish to make it to the playoffs they need to fix the bullpen. Other than that, the Mets should be a force in the National League.
