Once again the intentional walk will deny MLB fans the enjoyment of watching what might turn out to be one of the greatest hitters in baseball.
The solution to stopping Miguel Cabrera is to -WALK HIM- that appears to the buzz word throughout the media. " Walk the guy, don't let him beat you"
That quote apparently is trending everywhere, in other word, as I see it, they are telling baseball folks "Walk the guy, we don't want fans to enjoy a moment in history"
Can we agree on that? If you are a true baseball fan you will always remember moments in the game rather than the game itself. Personally I'll always remember a double play involving Omar Vizquel and Robbie Alomar, it was the greatest play I've ever seen.
If you go to a Detroit game and the situation comes up with Cabrera having the opportunity to tie or win the game and they intentionally walk him, would you agree they just denied you the opportunity to witness a great baseball moment.
Maybe fans should start singing some kind of chicken song, it could embarrassed them into pitching rather than walking.
As always this is a fans opinion and from what I understand everybody has one and I'm thankful for that.
