Here is how i think that the AL East will play out

5. Baltimore Orioles-

STAR PLAYERS: Second Basemen : Brian Roberts - Right Fielder : Nick Markakis - Third Basemen : Melvin Mora - Catcher : Ramon Hernandez

This team is looking like there on the decline, even after a dismal 69-93 season. After moving away there only real threat in Erik Bedard, this team has possibly the worst rotation in the Majors. There bullpen is thin, and lacks a real set-up man and a closer, and this team isnt looking like they will be able to close many games. There offense isn't the greatest either, having only two all-around players in Nick Markakis and Brian Roberts

PROJECTED RECORD: (65-97)

4. Tampa Bay Rays-

STAR PLAYERS: Left Fielder : Carl Crawford - Starting Pitcher : Scott Kazmir - First Basemen : Carlos Pena - Center Fielder : B.J. Upton

This team is the exact opposite of the Orioles. They finished last year with an MLB worst 66-96 record. But this year is looking like a turnaround. They have got very good starters in Kazmir and James Shields, and solid hitting in all aspects. Crawford and Upton provide the contact and base stealing while Pena and Cliff Floyd will provide home-run hitting power. The thing this team lacks is a bullpen. They have a good set-up man in Al Reyes, but after that they've got nothing.

PROJECTED RECORD: (72-90)

3. New York Yankees-

STAR PLAYERS: Third Basemen : Alex Rodriguez - Shortstop : Derek Jeter - First Basemen : Jason Giambi - Closing Pitcher : Mariano Rivera

This team will put up alot of runs, but I dont care who you have hitting, you cannot win without pitching. This team's pitching is in shambles. They have only one proven reliever in Kyle Farnsworth to set-up Rivera and there rotation isn't looking so good. Mussina is getting old, Petitte is getting old as well, as well as the whole steriod thing, and the other two are unproven rookies. They will have a good start, but the effects from bad pitching will show.

PROJECTED RECORDS: (89-73)

2. Toronto Blue Jays-

STAR PLAYERS: Center Fielder : Vernon Wells - Starting Pitcher : Roy Halladay - Right Fielder : Alex Rios - Third Basemen : Scott Rolen

The surprise team in the league, right here. The Blue Jays have put together a team that is looking it's best in years, and I follow them. There isn't one position on this team that is unproven, and they have two starting pitchers in A.J. Burnett and Halladay. They have also will have a lethal lineup that includes Wells, Rios, Rolen, Frank Thomas, Aaron Hill, David Eckstein, Lyle Overbay and Reed Johnson. I think they are poised to make a run and finally make the playoffs and get ahead in the AL East.

PROJECTED RECORD: (92-70)

1. Boston Red Sox-

STAR PLAYERS: Designated Hitter : David Ortiz - Left Fielder : Manny Ramirez - Starting Pitcher : Josh Beckett - Closing Pitcher : Jonathon Papelbon

I think that this team is the best team in the MLB, and will reach the 100 win mark. They have no weaknesses. There hitting is as potent as anyone in the league with Ortiz, Ramirez, Mike Lowell, Kevin Youkilis etc. There rotation is near the best in the league, with Beckett, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Curt Schilling, Tim Wakefield and Jon Lester. Everything looks to be in place for a repeat AL East and World Series win

PROJECTED RECORD: (103-59)
