Alright I'm still trying to get used to blogging, so once again try giving me feedback as you see fit.

The final 16 teams of the Uefa Cup took their places today, and as I grazed my eyes over the remaining teams, I have to say they looked pretty impressive. The best of the rest.  I personally haven't really followed the Uefa Cup, or made an effort to, just because in my mind, the teams are 2nd rate at best. Some I had never even heard of.

Then I realized that my mind had been poisoned by the Champions League. The Uefa Cup is still a great league, but most people don't pay any attention to it because of the Champions League.

Listen to some of these teams that are still in the Uefa Cup.

Bayern Munich, Rangers, HSV, Spurs, Benefica, Fiorentina, Marseille, Everton, and PSV just to name a few. These are big clubs we're talkin about here. Sure they're not as big as CL teams, but some of these matchups could be really exciting!

I'm one of those guys who can only watch soccer when the Champions League is on ESPN 2 or the MLS is on Thursdays during the season, so I don't get much variety. I think bringing some Uefa Cup games onto ESPN would be a nice gesture for other soccer fans such as myself (possibly the semis or the final) I highly doubt it'll happen, but maybe it'll show that the quality of play in the Uefa Cup is pretty close to that of the CL.

I think many people don't realize what a great tournament the Cup is. That's about it, though. It was just on my mind a little while ago, I thought I'd blog about it. Have a nice day.
