It should have been easy enough from the beggining to see that the Coco Crisp trade was going to turn out badly. But most Red Sox fans like myself said just a one year thing, or a little injury he'll be fine next year. Well next year never came. Coco was not awful the past year, heck he was better than Julio Lugo who only had .237 batting average. But with all this said Jacoby Ellsbury is not just the star of the future he has the chance to be a star two years down the road. It is clear the Sox organization thinks so to look who they started in World Series, not Crisp but Ellsbury.Ellsbury in his rookie season was not intimidated at all of Fenway Park he had 3 homeruns, a triple, and 4 doubles. I think the sox should get rid of Crisp as soon as they can because Ellsbury is now.

Crisp was a great OFer with the Indians but it has seemed he just wasn't the right player for Boston.

Crisp was a great OF'er for the Red Sox,... he just didn't produce offensively well enough. Boston thought it was getting a .300 hitter who would hit 15-20 HR,...... they didn't. And Ellsbury is definitely the star of the future,... possibly even as early as 2008,... His is an unusual combination of talents and abilities, and he promises to be a one-of-a-kind sort of player,... and certainly one of the most fun players to watch. It would be nice to have Coco as the 4th OF,.... but that doesn't seem to be in the cards.

You're an idiot. Crisp is the best defensive outfielder in the game. His hitting is average but he helped us win a title PERIOD we don't get there without his defense in the field through the year.
