I haven't posted a blog in a long time, even when there was a lot to talk about because I wanted to wait until after the trade deadlne when the dust settled and the 2nd half of the NBA season was crystal clear for me to predict.

What is bothering me the most about the NBA right now is everyone whining about how the Shaq trade is going to be a disaster. Before you get crazy you have to consider what happens in the playoffs. The tempo slows down and that has caused the Suns to book early tea times year after year. Shaq will help down low in the half court and drag a defender down so Steve Nash can launch some triples. Even with Shaq the Suns wil lose to the Spurs in the Conference Finals.

Which brings me to the Spurs, who have did a fantastic job of putting together small pieces here and there this season and have once again built a team that will contend for the title. Kurt Thomas is a solid pickup who bolsters their frontcourt and will open things up for Timmy Duncan. Damon Stoudamire is a great bench point guard who also helps open things up for San Antonio's skill players. The spurs will repeat as NBA Champs this year.

The Dallas Mavericks made what is considered the sexy trade in all this NBA madness, but it is not the best. Dallas has screwed itself big time for the future by trading its young point guard who is almost as good as JKidd. the Mavs will lose in the Conference Semis and Mark Cuban will cry and dance the samba once again in the off season.

Now I will finish off with my predictions.

NBA Finals: Spurs def Boston in 5

Eastern Finals: Boston def Toronto in 5

West Finals: Spurs def Phoneix in 7

MVP: King James

Shoutout to the NBA 3 Point Shootout champ Jason Kapono.

Goodnight and have a pleasant tommorow.

I like it. I agree about the J-Kidd deal. I dont think the Mavs really helped themselves as much as everyone else thinks they have. They've gotten smaller while everyone else has gotten bigger. Just ask the Suns how being the small team works in the playoffs.

Never ever count out the Spurs they're always going to be there when it comes to playoff time. Honestly, they don't care about the regular season at all
