Is Robert Griffin just asking for another knee injury, possibly a career ending one? He wasn't ready for that game and is Washington so starved for a star they have to burn him up in risky moves like this? Let's focus on him having a career and let the NFL worry about the Monday night ratings. This team is a long way from being a Super Bowl contender, keep Griffin out longer and see what can be done to scare our defense into doing its job. And the NFL kept phoning the Redskin sideline asking them to "hide" the knee brace? We know the priorities of the NFL are not in the best interests of Griffin or the Redskins. Why were some fans so jubilant over the acquisition of Baccari Rambo?
All the talk is about protecting Griffin from being hit, but 70% of ACL tears are NOT the result of collisions. Stopping short or making a quick cut are much more dangerous. And those things are what Robert Griffin does all the time. He tore his ACL at Baylor trying to avoid a collision. It's a complicated picture, much more so than the Shanahans seem to think. And Griffin has to lose the notion that he MUST be out there until he is carried off the field, that attitude didn't help the team against Seattle and that should be his number one consideration. Otherwise he looks like someone pursuing a death wish.
