Ok, yesterday I tried to do what Cheezhead did: take over the Knicks in NBA Live and see what I can do with them while simming all of the games. At the start of the season I made some trades. First, I traded Eddy Curry and Stephon Marbury for Devin Harris. Than I moved David Lee in to start at center to replace Curry. I started the season off averagely when I went 7-8. From there I went on a roll winning 7 straight. That put me at 14-8 and 2nd in my division. Then I was offered a trade. The trade was this: I give up Harris and Crawford, and in return I get Vince Carter. Now I was shocked at this trade. I had no clue what to do. I decided to decline it because of my great start with this team and I didn't want to make to many changes. However from there on it went all down hill. First Zach Randolph got hurt and missed 2 months of the season. Before that Randolph had been getting me 20 ppg. and 7.5 rpg. When it got to February, my team stood at 21-24. Since Randolph wnet down we had gone 7-16 and had moved from the 4 seed in the East to the 7 seed. Jamal Crawford was my only all-star but somehow Lee got elected to the dunk contest. He finished last in that. Luckily for me, after the break Randolph came back after one game. After that the rest of the season wnet pretty well and I finished at 40-42 and was the 7 seed still. My team lost in the first round 4-1 to the Cavs though. I had no players that made any all-star team but David Lee did win most improved player. He had gotten his stats up to 16.3 ppg. and 7.6 rpg. Tommorow I will do season 2 and will blog on what happens there over the weekend.
Time to making a top 3 seed: 2-4 seasons
Time to making the conference finals: 5-7 seasons
Time to making a finals: 8-10 seasons
Time to winning the finals: 9+ seasons
Well thats that for season one. I think that I had a little more success than Cheezhead did but trust me, my team looks much better on paper than when they actually played.
PS- At seasons end I sorely regretted not taking the Carter trade becasue Carter finished the season on first all-star team and he ended with 28 ppg, 4 apg, and 6 rpg.

Wow, I think my idea's catching on...yeah I restarted because like I said it's .5 because it froze and I think I could have a winning season after year 1, not done yet.
