Well, I guess ball players just can't help themselves.  It's 1 or 2 days before the first spring training game and already the boys are opening their mouths and inserting their foot.

Sheffield - When push comes to shove, Scott Boras probably is not a nice person, but neither is Sheffield when you get right down to it. I'm sure you all heard of the law suit that Boras wants  his 5% from Sheffs last contract with the Yankees.  Sheffield allegedly agreed to let Boras work his contract with Yanks in 2003, but then fired him and negoitated it himself.  Then Sheff couldn't figure out why players like M. Tejada got a 6 yr deal and V. Guerrero got a 5 yr deal and he only got a 3 yr deal.  He claims Boras bad-mouthed him.  Maybe its because the other two players are 7 yrs younger then you and not as injury prone.

He also called the investigation into steroids a "witch hunt" for Barry Bonds.  So I guess all those names in the Mitchell report were just to get Barry.  You might want to rethink that one.  Or better yet as Mr. Clemens how he feels.

Stated that Joe Torre treated blacks and whites differently. Why didn't he say that when he was we the Yankees? Why isn't that in the book he wrote?

John Rocker - Originally he accused the Rangers' team physicans of showing him and others how to effectively use steroids. Also stated he failed a nonmandatory drug test in 2000 and Mr. Selig knew he as "juicing".  He went as far as saying the  players union aided in steroid use.  Whom ever uts a microphone in front of this guy should be fired.  No one wants to hear from him.

Alex Rodriguez - Says he was tested 9 or 10 times.  We all know that's unlikely, unless he tested positive and required more testing.  Of course, someone probably pointed that out to him, so right on cue, he started backpeddling as fast as Mr. Clemens and says he was exaggerating, not a good thing to do with the media.

Eric Gagne/Paul LoDuca - Apology? What for?, Gagne, "I feel bad", LoDuca, "mistakes in judgment".  Neither of them addressed the specific allegations.  What is so hard about saying "I used HGH and I'm sorry". If one doesn't specify what they are apologizing for, you just leave things up to speculations.

Jorge Posada - "I believe Roger Clemens", so he's just calling his teammate Mr. "Honest" Petitte a liar.  Believe what you want Mr. Posada, just keep it to youself, for you it served no purpose to open yuou mouth.  I hope Petitte doesn't throw that fastball......when you're expecting a slider.

#1 sign that baseball season is back..... 90% of throwdowns on this site include either the Yankees, Red Sox or Mets.

I hear you on Posada, Clemens isn't coming back to the Yankees, Petitte is with them right now.

Add to that Clemens is obviously guilty here. I mean ever other thing that has been mentioned was true, why lie about Clemens?

I never like Sheff since he half arsed it when he was with the Dodgers.

February 26, 2008  04:48 AM ET

I never liked John Rocker ever.

February 26, 2008  04:48 AM ET

A-Rod has never looked right in the pinstripes and doesnt have the personality to handle the NY media.

February 26, 2008  04:49 AM ET

Gagne and LoDuca's best days were with LA. Since they left us they have been shells of their former selves.

February 26, 2008  04:51 AM ET

Jorge has no reason not to believe Clemens and if it turns out Clemens lied then he can just say I had no reason to believe Clemens would lie. Covering his arse at the expense of Petitte.

nothing does my Patriots broken heart better than to see the Yankees implode.
I always liked Posada tho.. he should be smart enough to know which side of the bread the butters on.
Good read Sandy

Good Job Sandy. Never ceases to amaze me that the same people that want Bonds hanged in the town square, will believe Clemens.

Wow I never knew Sheffield did all that
