Peter Forsberg, C, COL - I have been holding off until it was official, and now it is - Foppa is back and will play in his old haunt in the Rockies. The fantasy implications are huge, but again, as Greg Gibeault noted a month ago, how big IS the upside to adding Forsberg? Hey, if you have the room, ADD HIM NOW. Remember, Forsberg had 55 Points in just 57 games last season, so even a wonky Forsberg is better than a healthy center like Atlanta's Todd White. Colorado has 19 games remaining, including back-to-back tilts at Calgary tomorrow night and Vancouver on Wednesday evening. Will Forsberg make it for those? Doubtful. But he could make his debut at home vs. the Kings on the 1st of March. I guess it comes down to this - to those with the roster room, act with haste! But let the buyer beware - I left Forsberg on the waiver wire in my fantasy league...
Eric Brewer, D, STL - If you are in need of defense this late in the season, it might be time to start making some trade offers. In the meantime, for those who need a D-slot to stream, Brewer is your man. With 8 Assists in his last 12 games, including 5 on the PP, plus 12 PIMs to boot, Brewer has been turning it on lately. With 1 Goal and 18 Assists on the year, Brewer's second half is already shaping up better than his first. A workhorse on the blueline (he is already averaging 22+ minutes per night), Brewer's name has been mentioned in a possible deal or two. However, if he were dealt, his offensive role would more than likely increase.
Ruslan Fedotenko, LW, TB - Another fellow who has been mentioned as trade bait, Fedotenko's picked the right time to start putting the biscuit in the basket. Potting goals in six of his last nine (3 on the PP) has raised his season totals to 14 Goals and 16 Assists - he is hot enough to garner attention. GM Garth Snow expected more of Fedotenko when...
