Well every Saints fan nation wide was dissapointed with the New Orleans Saints abysmal season. After winning the NFC South two years ago the Saints were back to third place in the division at a less than stellar record of 7-9. Now this leads me to my question and problem. What was the cause of the Saints sudden below 500 year?

Many of you actually reading this are screaming their defense! They couldn't stop the run. But i have a different take on the situauition. I think that clearly the main problem was that The Saints were without their Super Star runningback Deuce McAllister! Deuce only played in two Saints games before his knee injury that sidlined him for the remander of the year.

McAllister last year had 1,036 rushing yards i believe and 10 rushing Touchdowns. (I could be wrong im going off the top of my head.) And was the heart of the Saints offense and lead them to ther NFC championship game. A lot of people think that defense was the cause of the Saints troble but let me ask you this question....did the Saints make any huge moves to improve their Defense? So without any change in the defense that led them to the NFC championship game in 06-07, the team suddenly drops to 7-9 with the same Defense. The reason was that Deuce McAllister was not in the starting lineup every single week of the year.

Look what Reggie Bush did this year when he finally got a chance to start all by himself. He did absouletly nothing with it to make me believe that he can take this team to where they want to go. Its all in the Hands of McAllister, Brees and Colston. Without one of those three players the team is finished. McAllister was the reason for the Saints downfall.

Have any different opinions put em here.

Reggie Bush is sadly overrated. The Saints need Deuce back healthy and in a hurry. If you rely on Reggie to be your number one Running Back, then another losing season would be the result.

I wouldnt say Reggie is overrated, but we need Deuce.

Deuce is the man. He frees up Brees a lot more than Bush. Nobody is afraid of Bush.
