Former Patriot Asante Samuel signed a multi-year deal valued at over $50 million with the Eagles today. Randy Moss and the Pats have not reached an offer, sources say he is listening to offers from around the league.
Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox beat the Minnesota Twins 8-3 in their first MLB Spring Training game this evening. Dice-K and Okajima looked to be in great shape in their spring debuts. Kevin Yooouuukilis, Jason Varitek, and prospect Kottaras all went yard in the game. The Sox will play the Twins tomorrow at 1:05 pm. They are 1-0 in Spring Training.
Boston Bruins
The Bruins were off tonight and will face the Atlanta Thrashers [29-31-5] tomorrow March 1, 2008 at 1:00pm. At 34-23-6 the Bruins are just 6 points out of first place in the East, yet they are placed 6th and only 3 points from dropping out of the Top 8.
Boston Celtics
The Celtics beat the Charlotte Bobcats tonight 108-100 to improve to 45-12 on the season, good for 1st Place all around the NBA. Rajon had a career night has he had 9 points with a career high 16 assists. Ray Allen was hot shooting 5-7 from 3pt range scoring 23 points. In addition Kendrick Perkins had 9 rebounds to go along with his 19 points. The Celtics will play the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday March 2, 2008.
