Eric Piatkowski was born in Steubenville, Ohio. The 6'6" G/F was one of the best players in the history of the small town.  Anyways, he played ball at the University of Nebraska. While at Nebraska, he chose #52 because,  "The fifties were the largest size uniform and that was the only one that would fit me. So I ended up with 52." He has since become just the 3rd player in the history of Nebraska basketball to have their number retired.

He was aquired by the Clippers after being drafted by Indiana with the 15th overall pick in 1994. In his rookie season, he set a career high w/ 81 games played. However, despite his 7 PPG, he was robbed of the Rookie of the Year title, losing out to two moroons named Grant Hill and Jason Kidd. Where is Grant Hill now? Huh? The same place as the Polish Rifle, Piatkowski. Phoenix. So Hill was ROTY, but now hes in the exact same place as Piatkowski. The voters arent always right.

1997-8 was the career year for Eric Piatkowski so far. He averaged 11.3 PPG and 3.5 boards. Again the voters robbed him of the MVP, giving it to someone named Michael Jordan. Who? IDK, never heard of him. I guess it's b/c I didnt really follow basketball then. Anyways, Jordan I think is out of the league now. But the everlasting light of Piatkowski remains.

After a one year stop with he Rockets, Piatkowski wound up with the Chicago Bulls (IDK, I think thats the same team that that Jordan guy played for. Not sure though). In Chicago, he had the defining moment of his career. Things were tense in the clubhouse. A bunch of young players with big egos. The Great One taps into his vast arsenal of Wisom and veteran experiance. What does he do to bring peace unto the Bulls? Donuts!!! The tension was diffused, and the Bulls went on to make the playoffs. I'll tell you what. Piatkowski is in the second and final year of his contract with the Suns. I think he should cash in big time. A veteran leader with great talent. You cant go wrong there.
