It will be hard for the Cats to overcome such a loss as Patrick Patterson at this crucial time in the season.. But we as Cat fans need to have faith that the system that Gillespie has in place will work. We still have Jared Carter the player Tubby was tricked into offering way back when Roy Williams flew into little Scott County to "supposedly" offer a scholarship to a barley heard of senior who averaged less that double points in scoring and rebounding. That trickery was so that heralded center Tyler Hansborough who was leaning towards signing with UK would reconsider and go to UNC because there he would not have to challenge Carter for playing time at Kentucky... Well we know the rest... Carter signed with UK and Hansborough went to UNC.. I personally dont think UNC was ever serious about Carter, they just wanted to make Tubby nervous about losing another player from his own back yard a la Chris Lofton... At any rate, we are only doomed if the remaining players think we are doomed....I believe we have a shot at making it to the sweet 16, but then again I do drink alot.
