To all who love the NCAA Bball Tourney!,
It's March 1st!!! Which means it is time to start to focus on March Madness!!! So based on USA Weekend's Brian Tucker's Article, I will give my own spin and call it The Idiot's Guide To The NCAA Tournament Office Pool! This will be a 5 part series, with a new blog everyday with a new rule! So imagine yourself at the water hole at work. All of a sudden that new guy runs up to your face and shoves a bracket and demands that he gets your picks in 5 days. Don't worry! Just follow Rule #1 on Day 1 of Anthony E.'s Idiot Guide To The NCAA Tournament! (Not available in stores, but you can find it exclusively on the Big Ten Basketball's Group Blog for free!) and by the fifth day, you'll pick yourself a winner!
RULE #1: Never worry about the guy that shoved the bracket in your face. (In other words, the hoops expert in the office.)
There always seems to be that one hyper/wierd guy that knows everything and doesn't have a life unless its about NCAA Basketball. All season long, all you've heard from him is "mid-majors", "on the bubble", "great perimeter shooting", "the intangibles". He seems to know everything there is to know. He even knows how to spell "Krzyzweski" and sometimes uses it as a verb, or a pronoun, or as a way to shut that annoying guy up on the phone who calls on Mondays to ask if you're open every single week. But as much as he may know, just realize that this guy will NEVER. I said NEVER. HE WILL PROBABLY NEVER WIN THE POOL! The NCAA Tourney is all about the unpredictable, and there is no way that analysis can serve him to win. This guy has as much chance of predicting every game right as he does winning the German version of American Idol. Even if he knows German. So don't worry about or listen to this guy. You could literally guess blindfolded and have just as much of a chance to win then his carefully analyzed bracket. Trust me. I have seen it done.
So there you have it. Day 1 Rule 1. You are 1 step closer to picking a winner! Tune in tommorow, same place, to get Rule 2!!!
(In no way are these rules a guarantee that you will pick a winner. Nor that you will win any type of monetary reimbursement for your time and lack of effort in filling out those lines with names you probably never heard of. But since you probably are NCAA TOURNEY-handicapped, what better option do you have? So try the Idiot's Guide!)

Very true, as a former pro athlete, and also a Gambler let me tell you something the more you know, the less you win, you tend to over analyze everything, thats why you always see, people who do not know much win these pools, or most any sport pool, its the same thing with betting games, if you know alot it srews you up
