Dodger Daydreams

The Los Angeles Dodgers suffered their second loss of Spring Training yesterday. The Mets' Brady Clark, a non-roster invitee, hit a single in the bottom of the ninth inning to drive the winning-run home. However, it was a poor game for both teams offensively.

The Recap:

1) Brad Penny pitched two scoreless innings (38 pitches), striking out two unlucky batters. Giving up only one hit and one walk, I was pleased by his stellar performance.

2) The Dodgers only had two hits in the game: Andruw Jones (1-3), and Russell Martin (1-1).

3) Rick Asadoorian is credited with the loss for the Dodgers, surrendering one run on two hits and one walk in one-third of an inning.

4) Chan Ho Park and Hong-Chih Kuo pitched two scoreless innings a piece. For the most part, the Dodgers' pitchers did a swell job against one of the best offensive teams in the National League.

5) Marlon Anderson, an ex-Dodger, ran into a gruesome collision with Ryan Church. It reminded me of that Carlos Beltran-Mike Cameron collision from a while back. Church will be out for two weeks with a concussion. I hope that he fully recovers from this incident.

I hope that the Dodgers can hit .500 with a win tomorrow against the Mets at 10.05 AM PST.
