In response to:
Ewing wants to be head coach
Magic assistant and Knick legend Patrick Ewing says he's ready to be an NBA head coach. Ewing, who was disappointed the Knicks did not hire him last summer when assistant Phil Ford left, is not likely be considered for a potential opening in New York any time soon. But he has friends in the league, and Michael Jordan could one day hire him in Charlotte.
Why can't he just be happy in Ordando? He's working with some of the biggest names in the industry, and yet all he can talk about is how much he wants to land a job as a coach in New YorK. If he wants to show people that he can be a good coach, at least do it with a more classy team. Ewing in New York would be no more productive than Isiah had been. He might as well just try to land a job in Charlotte through Michael Jordan.

He wants to be a head coach. The article is a little misleading. He wants to be a head coach somewhere, not necessarily in New York.
