Ben Roethlisberger just celebrated his 26th birthday on sunday...  Today he signed an 8 year / 102 million dollar deal w/ the Black n' Gold.  Not too shabby for a B-Day present.  This makes Ben one of the highest payed QB's in all of the NFL.  A well deserving price for the Rooney's to pay, considering Ben is the youngest QB in history to win a Superbowl and also had the best year in his career last season...  With this deal, the Steeler franchise has locked in a player w/ the determination to win & the skills to make it possible.  On top of everything else, Ben wants to remain a Steeler the remainder of his career.  He's a great kid & the Burgh wants him as well.  This is a momentous deal...  Definately worth every penny.....

Also, the Steelers added another RB to the roster.  Free agent, Mewelde Moore out of the Viking franchise. He signed a 3 year deal for an undisclosed amount of money.  He is 25 years old, 5'11", and weighs in at 210lbs.  Moore has played 4 seasons w/ the Vikings & had his best year in 2005.  He has great hands as well...  The Steelers are looking to turn his positive assets into rushing yards as they are considering the strong possibilty to use Moore as a Kickoff/Punt Returner.  One of his specialties.....  Welcome aboard Mewelde..... You have just become a Steeler.....
