Went to the Angels-Tigers game last night (May 22 in Detroit). The Tigers hit the ball pretty hard, but Gary Mathews was everywhere, saving a number of runs. Cabrera's leaping grab of Guillen's line drive for the last out saved a couple of runs as well. Maroth was crafty, but when they got a hold of his pitches, they flew! (3 HRs). Despite that, a few breaks (or weaker Angels' fielders) and we could've taken it. Sometimes you just have to give the opponent their props.
A Tiger fan since 1967, I attended Game 3 of the 1984 WS, and now have a family of Tiger fans, especially my daughter in college. Pistons are also great and Red Wings are fine. Lions, don't ask!
