Two blogs and we've now increased Bear Down Nation to 7 members. We're slowly climbing the ladder of success people! We've now passed "The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Want to Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too" Group. Nice work. Wait no they have 8 members.

Speaking of Zoolander, I was thinking he's probably the next person Angelo will sign to replace Rexy.

Seriously, would that surprise you? If the answer to that question is yes, shame on you. He's probably tougher than Rex is. You never know...

...We may have lost out on Berrian, Faneca, Moss, and other potential big names we knew wouldn't sign with the Bears, but at least Briggs is back! Again! Remember last year when he made it certain that he was going to leave and never come back? Then signed with us magically, follwed by him wrecking his brand new Lambroghini (Porsche maybe, I foget) Ahh, there's nothing like responsible athletes is there?

BREAKING NEWS: The Bears just traded Brian Griese to the Bucs for an undisclosed pick in the 09 Draft. Here's to that pick not getting cut in camp several months later! Wow. I knew he wouldn't get much, but a draft pick in 09? It's most likely a 2nd rounder.

Once again, good job Jerry A.

Goodbye, Brian. Your stay was short, but your memory will last until next January. It's until then we'll be pounding our heads against the TV screen wondering why we kept Orton and Grossman and traded you.

... Is Favre retiring or not? He sure loves the limelight on him during the offseason, doesn't he? This has to be all for show. I doubt he's been putting off his decision until just now. He knows what he's doing, most likely coming back.

And whether he comes back or not is going to make a HUGE difference to the outcome of the NFC North. If he stays, here's what it'll look like:

  1. Packers
  2. Vikings
  3. Bears
  4. Lions

If he decides to retire, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out totally different:

  1. Vikings
  2. Bears
  3. Packers
  4. Lions

Call me an optimist, but he was the main reason the Pack were successful last season. There's a pattern. When Favre is good, GB is good. When Favre is bad, GB is horrible. Aaron Rodgers won't do squat in Green Bay once Favre is gone.

... I think Chris Berman is a commie. You heard it here first. I really really dislike that guy. Am I the only one? Bermanisms have overstayed their welcome. Write them out in your autobiography. 995 pages about his love of the East Coast and 5 pages of Bermanisms.

...Why does Stephen Colbert hate bears so much? Is it an anti-communist thing?

...See how bored I get in the offseason? This is why we need a Mexican League to keep people who don't like basketball entertained in the winter, so you don't have to read my random ramblings any longer.

I am left to wonder why the Lions are at the bottom on both examples... when they smashed the Bears twice last year. Granted, the Lions haven't been a contender since Barry Sanders left, but they are getting better. If they can fix the O-line and actually run the ball/prevent sacks, I doubt they'll be at the top, but I know they will *not* be at the bottom of the NFC North.

Well someone's gotta be last, and it won't be the Packers or Vikings, and I'm hoping it won't be the Bears. If they Lions improve, your right, maybe they won't finsih last, but they haven't really shown any signs of improvement yet. Maybe next year Lions4Life.

Griese Topic: I think they did a good job to get anything and i'm seroiusly thinking about giving Gruden a number for a good Head Doc so he can solve his fetish for QB's

Farve topic: What makes this even funnier is that i've just read that he didn't want to leave, just that the Packers didn't show any interest in bring him back and he may end up in Miami

read the story here: http://beta.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/

Mexican League topic: fear not, their will be not one but two new leagues starting up with worse players for less money. So it will be fun watching these two leagues colapse as neither has TV coverage yet but are said to be "working on a deal", like hell, The NFL doesn't like competion full stop so look for these two to go the way of the Donold Trump idea and the XFL (fun while it lasted, completely Crazy, but fun.

Sweet Mother of God, what if he signs with the Bears!!!

I'm sorry but that would be one of the funniest things of all time. And I would go from despising him to loving him most likely.

Speaking for Mr Colbert, its a religious thing. Bears are GODLESS KILLING MACHINES, who will steal our pic-ka-nic baskets.

I believe he also lived in Chicago for a time and had to endure dull Bears games, as I once had to. I mean, is there any other team that wins ugly like the Bears? AND THAT'S WHEN THEY'RE GOOD!!! When they're bad, they're just ugly.

The only reason the Lions beat up on the Bears was because they had 7!!!!defensive starters injured the first game and 3 the second game. The reason the Lions are probably last is because they can score a lot of points but can't defend worth a crap. Unless the Lions get some defensive help in the draft look for them to be last for one more year. Great Blog Stauff Nation!!!

thanks for clearing that up Mixin. I'm a huge fan of Colbert and a member of the Nation (not this nation, his) and never figured out why.
