Ladies and Gentlemen-
I have to just get this off the chest of Red Sox Nation....A-Rod is a dirty player in every sense of the word! I mean let's be honest for a second here people. Do you really think that Alex didn't intentionally run into Dustin Pedroia last night? I sure as heck did, I mean really it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that of all the players that wear the hated pinstripes, that Alex would be the one that try to do such a thing.
I'm pretty sure that I am not the only one that remembers I believe game six or seven of the 2004 ALCS. The play is a routine grounder to first; Mr. Rodriguez decides that with his team already down a couple of runs and in need of a spark decides to slap the ball out of 1B Doug Mientkiewicz's hand to be safe. Well of course the umpire calls him out and the Sox end up winning the World Series that year and the Yankees went home and suffered one of the biggest chokejobs in the history of sports. I mean let's not also forget in the 2003 ALCS when A-Rod shoves Jason Varitek after a wild pitch which ends up having everyone remember that game only because it's the same game where Pedro Martinez basically hip tosses Don Zimmer onto the Fenway green.
Dustin Pedroia had every right to call that play dirty. Personally, I just think A-Rod will do whatever it takes for Yankee fans to accept him. He hasn't been on the home run binge he had last month and he is beginning to feel the heat already again in New York. But the facts are facts ladies and gentlemen, A-Rod is a dirty player who just loves to get under the skin of Red Sox nation...and to think that the Red Sox wanted a sign and trade deal for A-Rod so many years ago. Couldn't imagine how that would've played out!
