Hey Sports fans, just wanted to post a quick note regarding Sports Road Trips!!!
Heading out on an awesome excursion from T.O. to NYC. 6 games, Five Stadiums, 4 days, 3 sports, 2 best friends, 1 future road tripper. (my nephew who is almost 2). Results you guessed it Priceless!
Well not exactly...
Tickets for four for each game $802.00
Accomodations 4 nights, $100.00-150.00 / night
Gas $100.00 (2 and a half tanks)
My point??? Road trips are a fantastic and surprisingly inexpensive way to both travel and have a lot of fun expanding your sports horizons. New stadiums, new foods, and new fans can renew ones fire for getting out there and being a part of the action. Watch out for the post trip recap. I will attempt to report on the food, the building, atmosphere, fan intensity, quality of the games as well as the overall experience had by each member on the trip. The schedule is as follows:
April 2nd: Hit Yankee for a night game 7:00pm (bluejays)
3rd: 1:00pm Phillies afternoon game (Nationals)
3rd: 7:30pm NY Islanders Host the NY Rangers (hopefully playoff implications)
4th: 7:30pm The NY Rangers host NY Islanders (revenge time perhaps)
5th: 1:00pm Afternoon game Yankee Stadium (Devil Rays)
5th: 7:30pm New Jersey Nets (sans Kidd) host the Toronto Raptors.
6th: Optional Hockey game in Philly 12:30pm Hosting the cross state rival Penguins. We will most likely be driving home that day so prob not gonna make it for that one but would add a 7th game to the mix for REAL die-hard fans out there...
Hopefully makes for an interesting Blog post... Stay Tuned.
Rudy.
