Brett Favre has called it quits.

I have been a huge fan ever since he put on the Green jersey, and so have the rest of my family.  I have enjoyed his play, his intensity, and the love of the game that many players do not share.  In an era of "Me", or "what have you done for me lately" players, it has been refreshing to watch a player who is all about the team first.

He's the holder of every measurable record in NFL history.  He has won 3 NFL MVP awards (consecutively), He has the best winning percentage in his 17 years in the league of any team during that period.

Brett will be missed in the League for far more than the presence he brings to the field.  He was the face of the League.  He was a role model for kids.  He brought a stable influence to the team and people Wanted to play with him in the huddle.

While sorry to see him go, I wish him and his family the best that Retirement can offer.  He will still be a figure to watch, just as Bart Starr was before him.  The Packer faithful will always rever what he brought to the field.

Good luck Brett and enjoy life...  You've earned it.
