1. Matt Holliday, COL - Holliday ranked in the top three amongst outfielders in every hitting category last year, jacking 36 homers with 137 RBIs, 120 runs, 50 doubles, 11 steals and a .340 batting average. He is just 28-years-old and has a strong young lineup around him. Holliday could go as high as No. 2 overall in fantasy drafts this year, and deservedly so after last season's incredible breakout performance.
2. Vladimir Guerrero, LAA - Guerrero remains in the upper-echelon of outfielders after another season on par with his expected totals. He does not steal bases anymore, so consider the five or so he might grab a bonus. Nevertheless, you can expect a .325 batting average, 30 or so home runs, and around 120 RBIs with confidence. The addition of OF Torii Hunter to the Angels lineup will only help Guerrero's numbers.
3. Grady Sizemore, CLE - Sizemore has been a "superstar in the waiting" for a while now, and, at just 25-years-old, the time is now to snag this five-category stud. He shows uncanny discipline at the plate for someone his age, drawing 101 walks in 2007, which led to a .390 on-base percentage despite a low .277 batting average. A 30/30 season with 100 RBIs and an average around .300 is probable for Sizemore.
4. Alfonso Soriano, CHC - Soriano was an enormous disappointment in his debut in the Windy City, as his numbers dropped - dramatically in most cases - in four of the five major hitting categories. He did raise his batting average 22 points, albeit in 68 fewer at-bats. Soriano had a torrid finish to the regular season, though, and there is no reason that he cannot challenge the 40/40 year he put up in 2006.
5. Carl Crawford, TB - Crawford is still just 26-years-old, and he already has 277 career stolen bases. He still has not reached his prime, and many feel that he still has the potential for some pop in his bat, as he set career-highs in doubles and batting average in 2007. Crawford has a young, fast lineup around him in Tampa this year... (Read the full article here: Fantasy Baseball Preseason Rankings: Outfielders)
