I am a Jets and Cowboys fan. But I will deeply miss the great man named Brett Favre.

Favre was not always the man he is now. A drinker. A partier. Came from a smaller school. But still became a legend.

He is the gunslinger. The one who will throw the football around the field, half hoping, half knowing his receiver will catch it.

He could fit the ball into the tightest windows. He could throw it 80 yards. As a younger player, he was deceptively mobile. But one reason I will miss him is this:

He played the game with an enthusiasm unheard of now.

He enjoyed every minute of his time on the football field. He played every game like it was his first game ever. He played like a high school freshman, relentless, reckless.

Fearless.

The word I will always use to describe Brett Favre.

Favre might be remembered by some records such as: his touchdown record, yards, completions, attempts.

He may be remembered by some as the holder of the career interception record.

By some, he may be remembered by his final pass, the interception in the NFC Championship.

I will remember him as one of the greats in every way.

He would give you everything he had, every Sunday, on the football field. He'd play his heart out every time, never giving up.

He is Brett Favre.

Very Eloquent. I am a Bears fan who will miss him, also. But I will say that he did the right thing by leaving now. He went out a winner in our minds, not has been hanging on.
