In response to:
Bulls may bench Thomas for Gooden
Bulls interim coach Jim Boylan said he's keeping Friday night's starting lineup to himself, but he and his assistants have discussed starting Drew Gooden for Tyrus Thomas all week. Whether Boylan makes another change and starts Larry Hughes in the backcourt is unknown. Thabo Sefolosha skipped practice Thursday with a sore groin but is expected to play. Boylan benched Kirk Hinrich for all but 56 seconds of Wednesday's second half in Indiana.

Start Thomas & Gooden make Gooden your post up player and let Thomas drive the lane and take it home. What you need to do is bench Joakim Noah. He does nothing for the team and dosen't put forth any effort. He doesn't go for rebounds, his defense is way under aduquit, and he can't shoot his free throws. I dont know what Jim Boyler thinks this guy is going to do because he isn't doing anything.

Start Thomas & Gooden bench Noah.

I agree they should bench Joakim in stead of Thomas, Thomas as a lot more talent and fit the way the Bulls want to pay. I don't think they will leave Tyrus in though after a 4 fouls and 0 points in 8 minutes against Memphis. Noah is a terrible defender and can't defend any one that has any type of post skills. I'd like to see him put in a trade this offseason for a post player because even tho I like Gooden his post skills aren't enough to draw a double team. Good Blog.

Great post for the wrong idea. While it may be true that the staff is looking at the switch, it will never leave the experimental stage. Gooden is playing to get into the lineup. His numbers are better here than when he was in Cleveland. When his production drops, and he's back to sixth or seventh man, his play will re-emerge. He needs to stay there as a bench player.

As for starting both, why? they play the same game, and use the same skill set. Neither will draw a double-team, and both fumble when trying to handle the ball.

Wow now Tyrus Thomas can guarantee a spot on the bench after being suspended 3 days for not going to practice and not calling in telling them he wasn't coming in.
