Hank Steinbrenner, the son of New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, is hated by most, loved by few, and should be ignored by all.

Hank was probably the stereotypical kid in high school that got whatever he wanted, thanks to his daddy. He was the kid who got a brand new Mercedes-Benz, wrecked it because he’s an idiot, and then got another expensive car from daddy Steinbrenner. Still breast-fed by his dad George at the age of 51, Hank says what’s on his mind, and its wrong 100% of the time.

He thinks everyone agrees with him, or should agree with him, because in his mind, he is the omniscient presence that the universe revolves around. He chooses his wording worse than Latrell Sprewell and has theories that rival those of Carl Everett (Carl states that dinosaurs never existed because “Somebody saw Adam and Eve, but nobody ever saw a Tyrannosaurus Rex”). Here are some examples in which Hank speaks out of his backside:
 
“Go anywhere in America and you won't see Red Sox hats and jackets, you'll see Yankee hats and jackets. This is a Yankee country. We're going to put the Yankees back on top and restore the universe to order.”
 
First off, I respect the fact that Hank if bold enough to say that Red Sox fans don’t exist. However, I used to be a Yankees fan, that is, until Hank took over. He makes Yankees fans cringe, baseball fans wonder, and Red Sox fans laugh. How did Red Sox fans react? They inducted Hank into Red Sox Nation, complete with membership card giving him access to an array of options, including the group newsletter, bumper stickers, pins, Green Monster seats and a hat personally autographed by David Ortiz.

Hank, as a seventeen-year-old high school junior, I hate to break the news to you—but you’re wrong. This isn’t a Yankees country. Most people who don’t have any connection to New York actually hate and despise your organization.
 
Hank also recently took a hit on Joe Torre, the same manager who took the Yankees to twelve straight playoff appearances. This includes six World Series appearances, and four World Series championships. Hank said that Torre has less “fire in his belly” that Joe Girardi, the new Yankees manager. Is this a joke? Is Hank serious? Joe Torre is to winning games as Brad Ausmus is to grounding into double plays - you know it's going to happen. Girardi has only managed for one season--the Florida Marlins in 2005. He led them to an astounding 78-84 record. And now Hank is saying Girardi will bring more to the table than Joe Torre.
 
Hank frequently goes back on his word, too. He told the media countless times he would not negotiate with Alex Rodriguez. Despite owning the richest franchise in America, and despite the fact A-Rod is arguably the best player of all-time. What was his reasoning behind not signing the next great player? Alex Rodriguez, after having an MVP year, was considering opting out of his contract. Seeing Alex Rodriguez consider his options, Hank stated: “It's clear he didn't want to be a Yankee”. "We're not going to back down, its goodbye". They negotiated a deal to stay with the Yankees days later.

I’m glad not every owner as irrational as Hank. His thought process resembles that of a drunk platypus.
