Dodger Daydreams

The Dodgers finished off the Boston Red Sox with a dramatic bang. With the Dodgers trailing by three runs in the top of the eighth inning, Luke May smacked a game-tying home-run. Los Angeles continued to rally back with a tremendous grand-slam by Jason Repko, securing the victory.

The Recap:

1) Derek Lowe failed to capitalize against his former team, the Boston Red Sox. The Dodgers' hurler gave up five runs in two innings. He has an Earned-Run Average of 11.25 thus far through Spring Training.

2) Juan Pierre batted two for four with a stolen base. The speedster has stolen four bases in Spring Training, fighting for the starting job in Left-Field during the Regular Season. I would like to see him win the spot over Andre Ethier because the Dodgers have invested a ton of money in the outfielder.

3) Jason Repko, as I mentioned earlier, smashed a grand-slam in the top of the ninth inning. He missed all of last season with torn hamstring tendons. This injury occurred during Spring Training and hopefully he will not get injured again this year.

4) Matt Kemp hit a solo-homerun in the remarkable game. The impressive batter has been slugging for a ..368 Batting Average during Spring Training. I can hardly wait to see his success in the Regular Season.

5) Ramon Martinez went two four three with one run against the Red Sox. The second-baseman will probably serve as a back-up to Jeff Kent during the Regular Season. Since Kent may be a health risk at his age, it is possible that we will see more of Ramon Martinez in the future.

I was watching this game from a hotel in Rochester, New York. I tried updating my blog over the night with a recap of this terrific game but FanNation unexpectedly closed on me half-way through the post. Late is better than never!

Obviously, Lowe's sinker's not sinking, so he's probably going to have to find his release point again. Another thing might be the BABIP... If that's really high, that might be what's killing him.

Money's not everything. Mo Vaughn and Albert Belle got paid a lot of it to sit on the bench.

Ehh, the Ramon Martinez, Pedro's brother, is better.

I was thinking about Ramon A. ? Martinez, too.

Albert Belle got paid a lot to stay away from the Yankees.

Mo Vaughn was just a bad investment.
