Every year around this time in the off season I like to let my mind wander about what it could be like in the upcoming NFL season. I let myself get way too excited about all the free agent signings and the upcoming (NFL Draft) which is only a month away. I start to think about the bolstering of the "D" with Boss Bailey and Niko Koutouvides at linebacker along with DJ Williams and 'Wonder' if it's not the biggest baddest group of linebackers in the leauge? I also think about the addition of two new safeties, Marquand Manuel and Marlon McCree and say "Wow all we need now is a couple of pieces to the puzzle and were on our way." So, if we could get one or two big and mobile defensemen in the draft along with one or two speedy receivers then we got it made. Hey, were going all the way this year! All the way to the "Playoffs" I hope. Hey, it's only the daydream of a Demented Bronco Homer who has been getting way too much Fat tire amber ale and too much 'Carne Asada' or grilled Steak on a beautiful Colorado Spring sunday afternoon, later bloggies I'm off to the outdoors again and enjoy the "Aztec God" or El Sol=sunshine...

I agree with you. We just need only a few more pieces and we're on our way to the playoffs, maybe a division win.

Let it hit you in all clarity my friend; this defense coming up in '08 can't get worse than last years' embarassment. Williams back in his 'comfort zone', just the name Niko reminds me of another bad ass named 'neo' and all of the sudden he is going to see through the matrix of a top 5 defense, bly' got something to prove and champ... well he's a champ.; his brother will provide the 'ion' to finish this unit. Got to love depth at safeties and find a hard hitting SOB playing the box and running cover. Elvis dumervil got this old cowboy singing hounddoung last year with the got something to prove never make it at DE kind of attitude....

dickroyale with cheese, this is a bunch of wishful thinking the Defense "will" be better,but how much better? I believe they will improve,but not enough to carry the team to the next level. Cutler and company still have alot to improve on in order to make it to the post season...

At this point the bottom line is it's going to be entirely a different energy and vibe with this 'D" than last YEARS; realistically far from a top 5 unit but hopefully 6th through 12th and be a 'respectable' unit. Where would you put our offense if you had to rate it now leaguewide; I'm going for a strech but we will have a top 8 offense.
