Oh poor Jason. How have thee tumbled? Jason was one of the poster boys for the steroid problem a while back when the controversy was just warming up, but won kudos for his resurgence as a 'clean' player. However, he never actually ADMITTED that he was a user, he just tap danced like everyone else. Recently, as his Yankees plummet into loserness, and himself obviously not getting any attention, decided to create some. He decided to tell the press in a somewhat self righteous, yet trying to sound like a hero kinda way, that MLB, players owners and all owe fans an apology for basically letting steroids ruin the purity of the game, and taking responsibility.
The backlash has been tangible. Hall of famer Frank Robinson gave the most enlightened of comments when he stated that Giambi shouldnt be taking the entire league down in the controversy, because many players dont juice and they were made guilty by his comments. He also said if he wanted to 'confess' for his own use, that he just do that instead of putting it on the whole league. I agree with Robinson.
Giambi, of all people shouldnt be saying anything being that he was an obvious user who reaped tremendous benefits from his using, and ended up having health issues and other things that made it a headline eventually. He STILL NEVER EVEN ADMITTED HIS USE....until he said "I should have never done that stuff" which is all but an admission, but still isnt a true one.
If you want to get on the podium and beat your fist, make sure your own closet is clean. Now, that you kicked the bee's nest, Look what happens...OH GIAMBI TESTS POSITIVE FOR AMPHETAMINE USE. Karma is a MF aint it.
