Joyce Ekworomado is the Southland Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year and named first team all conference. Coach Susan Fox is the Southland Conference Women's Basketball Coach of the Year. Brook DeGrate is named third team all Southland Conference.
The Texas State Women's team has had a remarkable year, racking up 18 conference wins to just 2 losses winning the regular season Southland title. They begin play this week in the Southland tournament as the number one seed. The Bobcats ended the season with a 20-9 mark, Coach Fox's first 20 win season in her 11 seasons heading of the Bobcat Women's basketball program. Congratulations to the entire women's team for a great regular season. Now let's win the Southland tournament and get into the big dance.
