The Dodgers have reached a .500 record in Spring Training with a 6-6 record thus far. Los Angeles captured a 7-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles today, as Andruw Jones hit his second home-run of the Pre-Season. The Dodgers are looking better and better each and every day!

The Recap:

1) Chan Ho Park pitched three perfect innings today with one strikeout. Park will be flying over to China with the Dodgers tomorrow for a two-game series against their rivals, the San Diego Padres. I wish the Korean-pitcher luck in the home of the 2008 Bejing Olympics.

2) Andruw Jones connected for two hits, a home-run, and three RBIs in today's win. The heavy slugger is currently batting .214 in Spring Training. Despite taking a beating from baseball fans lately about being slightly overweight, he has been doing a splendid job thus far.

3) Matt Kemp knocked in a run on one hit against the Baltimore Orioles. The right-fielder has nine RBIs thus far in Spring Training, which is simply outstanding. I'm expecting the up-and-coming star to be successful in the 2008 Regular Season.

4) Rafael Furcal, who booted a home-run recently, brought in a run on two hits. The short-stop also scored a run in the Dodgers' win. The eight-year veteran is now batting around .292 in the Pre-Season.

5) Takashi Saito pitched a bullpen session today without experiencing any pain. Nursing a calf injury, the closer threw 23-pitches and is gradually preparing for the Regular Season. I'm thankful to see that his bullpen sessions, today and this past Friday, indicated substantial improvement.

The Dodgers have an opportunity to break .500 with a win over the Florida Marlins tomorrow. The Marlins lost their best players, Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera, in a block-buster deal during the off-Season. However, half of the Dodgers will be flying out to China for a two-game series against the San Diego Padres. Thus, it should be an even game!

I'll read all the blogs about the Dodgers. I don't always get all the sports scores in spring training. Hope they keep up the hitting when the season starts.

Thanks for checking our my Dodgers' blog.

It's not as in-depth as other bloggers, but I truly want to provide quick and concise news for sports fans on the run. I know that I will not sit there and read a long, extensive article - so I try to avoid that.
