Today, I read an article on CBSsports.com that Yankee's second baseman, Robinson Cano asked his current club for an outrageous $300 million contract. In this article, Cano informed the team if he didn't get what he asked for, he'll put himself on the free agent market. Where does this guy get off asking for a contract like this He's a good player, but not a great player. He's no Derek Jeter. I wouldn't rank him up there with Jose Bautista. When did Cano ever hit 50 homers in a season. Bautista did it twice. In fact, Cano has just 204 career homers and has a career batting average of .309 Despite being an All-Star player, compared to Jeter, Cano is average at best. If Cano is such a good player as he think he is, then why is the Yankees out of the playoffs this year. He sure didn't help his club in that aspect. As far as I'm concerned, any team that signs this guy during the off-season for the price he's asking for has more money than brains.

I would also like 300 million. If it wouldn't be too much trouble.
