Tyler Hansbrough is Mark Madsen

Now I know all you crazy tar-heels out there are going to think i've lost it, but for any of you guys that are old enough to have seen madsen play at stanford, you'll see why i'm right... mark "maddog" madson was one of the best college players in the country during his time at stanford. "An All-America candidate in 1999-2000 ... A pre-season candidate for the John Wooden and Naismith Awards, symbolic of the nation's best player ... Named a pre-season All-American by Dick Vitale's Magazine ... Known to everyone as "Mad Dog" ... Watch him play and the description fits (fights for every rebound, tough, aggressive, a winner) ... An intense competitor, who has made an impact for Stanford during his three seasons on The Farm ... Strong at both ends of the court ... A fierce competitor on the offensive boards, and a tough defender and rebounder ... Tough, hard-nosed and a tremendous competitor ... Unstoppable around the basket ... His career shooting percentage of .587 is #2 in the Cardinal record book ... Many people compare him to former Stanford All-American Adam Keefe." ok, so most of you don't remember adam keefe either, he was a good college player too, but if i took out stanford and put in UNC, you'd think i was talking about Hansbrough... i don't want you to think i'm down on this guy, he's a great college player, but let's be realistic, he won't be much of a pro...the kid from k-state will be much better.... hansbrough is tough and does score a lot more than madsen ever did, but he just won't be able to bang and overpower, in the league, like he does now...he's only 6'9", 250...lebron is 6'8" 260 and he plays the 2 or the 3 spot..no way this guy does that...he'll have to be come an outside specialist, i just don't think he'll be much in the league... you could throw scott padgett (6'9" 240, shoots lots of threes) and brian cook (6'9" 250, big 10 player of the year, now also shoots lots of threes) in there to for guys hansbrough could be like in the NBA... i like to be wrong on this, but i sure don't see much of a pro career for "Psycho T"... but unc is going to retire his jersey, so he'll be a legend there forever... remember, just because they hang his jersey by mike's, don't think he's even close.....
