Everyone is busy with NCAA pools and seedings right now, but if I wanted to take a genuine interest in college basketball playoffs I'd just rig a pool. I'm talkin big boy playoffs, for the gold trophies and rings and honor and glory, where heroes are made and legends live forever. I'm talkin about 2 months of the best television of the year, the NBA Playoffs! This is my FAVORITE time of year, and after football season I'm now on the rotation of the Sunday NBA games coming down the stretch, augmented this week with a double header beacuse of the breaking news of what will by then be the 21-0 Rockets. Wow that's exciting. As a long time NBA playoffs analyst I reserve comment on actual series winners or NBA Finals participants until the last regular season game is played. However, I will offer my pick on what the brackets in each conference will look like.
EASTERN CONFERENCE
1. Boston Celtics
8. Atlanta Hawks
4. Cleveland Cavaliers
5. Toronto Raptors
2. Detroit Pistons
7. Philadelphia 76ers
3. Orlando Magic
6. Washington Wizards
WESTERN CONFERENCE
1. Los Angeles Lakers
8. Golden State Warriors
4. Utah Jazz
5. Phoenix Suns
2. San Antonio Spurs
7. Dallas Mavericks
3. Houston Rockets
6. New Orleans Hornets
