It was a sad event, his untimely death.  I think this would have been universally acknowledged.   But the father forgot to include the victim in the lawsuit.  And he might have well included himself for teaching the kid wrong or setting bad examples.   But to sue the tow truck driver and the owner of the stalled car is excessive.  Why not the cell phone company for making he object he was diddling with instead of watching the road with his already impaired mind?  Why not the Cardinals for putting him under a watch program for drunks?  Oh yeah, that would have included LaRussa.....couldn't do that.  After all, everything is so darn perfect in MLB in St. Louis.  The father is mad and drunk and swinging wildly with this lawsuit, or maybe lawyers in MS are just unclear thinkers or think like drunkards.  It's fortunate the kid didn't kill someone else.  Consider this lucky and move on.  Nothing we do now will wipe the pain away.

You forgot the girl on the other end of the call - might as well include her since she should have told Hancock he shouldn't be driving. Yes, I am being cynical and before I go further I must state that I think Hancock's death was very unfortunate and terribly saddening. But seriously, what happened to personal accountability? How can this terrible incident be everyone else's fault and whose fault is it that there was marajuana in the car (and a pipe)? I feel bad for the family and know that this type of loss is very hard to deal with, but suing everyone because of a bad personal decision is incredibly hard for me to fathom. At the end of the day, the only winners in this lawsuit will be the attorneys.
