There is a word to describe Game One of the World Series. Sloppy, at least in St. Louis's perspective. The Cardinals were simply not in the game, especially defensively. The error on the double play was nothing compared to the ball dropping in between the catcher and pitcher in the second inning. When I saw that, I threw my arms in the air and said to myself "They're (the Cardinals are just not in it." There was a ray of hope when Carlos Beltran robbed David Ortiz of a grand slam. The problem was that Beltran had to leave the game early because he injured himself while making the spectacular play The Cardinals had the bases loaded at a point in the game, but were unable to score any runs. When Ortiz hit the two run homer to make it 7-0, I shut the T.V. off and went to bed. I had to get up for work anyway. The Cardinals are going to try to tie the series tonight. I hope I'll be able to see the whole game if you know what I mean.
