Celtic's game against Motherwell set for today was postponed after heavy rain made the pitch at Fir Park unplayable. It's the 3rd time Celtic and Motherwell's match has been postponed since the tragic death of Motherwell's Phil O'Donell in December. A new date hasn't been set yet, but Celtic's next game is Celtic's quarterfinal Scottish Cup replay on Tuesday against Aberdeen, who they tied 1-1 at Pittodrie in the first quarterfinal game. Celtic capped off a great save in that game, with Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink keeping them in the Scottish Cup after scoring in the 90th minute. I'll deliver a match report then.
In SPL news, Hibernian take 3rd place over Dundee United after winning 2-0 over Kilmarnock. Dundee United play tomorrow against Rangers (BOO!) Gretna's horrible week, after bringing in administrators to help the failing club, just got worse after losing 3-0 to Aberdeen. Sadly, Gretna brought almost no fans with them to Pittodrie.
Other SPL scores:
St Mirren 1 - 1 Hearts, Inverness 0 - 1 Falkirk
Tomorrow's game:
Dundee United vs Rangers
Referee Dougie McDonald inspecting the playing field at Fir Park this morning. The game was postponed for a 3rd time.
Liverpool today took on Reading at Anfield. The game got off to a quick start, and after a foul near the box, Reading went ahead in the 5th minute thanks to a free kick from Marek Matejovsky.
They didn't keep the lead long, though. Liverpool took one back in the 19th minute after an amazing shot from defensive midfielder Javier Mascherano scored his first goal of the season from over 20 yards out.
After staring out the game sloppy, Liverpool took control and Ryan Babbel and Xavi Alanso, who missed Tuesday's game against Inter for the birth of his son, came close to scoring after Mascherano's goal.
Liverpool then took the lead immediately after the half, thanks to an easy header from Fernando Torres, who also scored the lone goal in Liverpool's win over Inter, guarenteeing them a place in the Champions League quarterfinals. It was Torres' 9th goal in 6 games.
Midfield Maestro and Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard had been the source of many oppritunities for Liverpool in the first half, and he resumed his gift for making plays like there wasn't even a break. After curling in the free kick that met Torres for the go-ahead goal, he almost set up Babbel for a 3rd, but Babbel couldn't get a good shot off.
Reading began to press in the closing stages of the game, and even brought their keeper Marcus Hahnemann even came over to help with a Reading corner kick. When the corner was cleared, Alonso just missed scoring from his half into the open Reading net.

The game ended in another Liverpool win 2-1, their 5th EPL win in a row. As of right now, Liverpool has sole possession of 4th place, as Everton will play Fulham on Sunday.
In other news Manchester United finally took the top spot in the EPL after a 1-0 win over Derby.
Today's other EPL Scores:
Arsenal 1 - 1 Middlesbrough, Chelsea 1 - 0 Sunderland, West Ham 2 - 1 Blackburn, Portsmouth 2 - 0 Aston Villa,
Tomorrow's games:
Everton vs Fulham, Wigan vs Bolton, Birmingham vs Newcastle, Manchester City vs Tottenham
